The Afghan government released 100 Taliban prisoners the next day after the Taliban announced the end of talks. According to the World News Agency, Afghan National Security Council spokesman and member of the government team negotiating with the Taliban, Javed Faisal says that the Afghan government has released 100 Taliban prisoners today (Wednesday) to keep up the peace process. The release was decided on the basis of the prisoners' health, age and the rest of the sentence.
