The world's largest cave, Slain Dong Cave, was honored by Google on its 13th anniversary.

Today's Google Doodle is honoring the world's largest cave, Sơn Đoong Cave, and we have all the information you need about a natural wonder.

Google's homepage is known for celebrating various events and holidays, as well as honoring celebrities and beautiful landmarks with fun and colorful doodles.

Here's more information about the cave on today's doodle, including where it is and how you can get there.

Google Doodle is celebrating the 13th anniversary of Sơn Đoong Cave, the world's largest cave in Vietnam's Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park.

Today's date, April 14, marks exactly 13 years since the cave was officially discovered on April 14, 2009.

This is the first time that a natural wonder has been honored on Google's homepage and the doodle has been featured in several countries around the world.

Sơn Đoòng Cave is honored on the homepages of Vietnam, UK, Sweden, Singapore, Greece and many more.

Although it was discovered only 13 years ago, it is believed that the natural wonders of Vietnam were created about 2 to 5 million years ago.

Ho Khan, a local farmer, found the entrance to Sơn Đoong Cave in 1990 but did not find out until 2008 when he returned to take a step back. Howard and Deb Lambert of the British Cave Research Association officially opened the cave in 2009.

The cave has been named the largest cave in the world by Guinness World Records, Association World Records and World Kings. It is 150m wide, over 200m high and about 9m long.

In addition, Sơn Đoong Cave is home to the third largest cave in the world, and includes underground rivers and rare flora and fauna for visitors to enjoy.

HOW CAN YOU VISIT THE CAVE?

The Google Doodle Code was created in collaboration with Vietnam's National Administration of Tourism in an effort to promote tourism in the country after 19 epidemics.

The Sun Dong Campaign is held annually between January and August and takes four days and three nights to complete.
The itinerary includes overnight camping, swimming, exploring local cuisine and numerous adventures as you explore the wonders of the caves.
