Aston Villa's Premier League fixtures for 2022/23

City's Premier League season in 2022/23 will start and end in London.

The new season schedule reveals that the reigning champions' first game will be a challenging journey to West Ham United on Sunday, 7 August, and that their final encounter will be away to Brantford on May 28.

The Hammers vs. West Ham match has already been selected for Sky Sports coverage and will begin at 16:30. (BST).

Our first home game – and maybe Erling Harland’s Etihad debut – will be on Saturday 13 August against newly promoted Bournemouth.

The first Manchester derby of 2022/23 will be held on October 1 at the Etihad, with the return on January 14 at Old Trafford.

Given their recent history with Liverpool, both sets of fans will be looking forward to the two games against Jurgen Klopp's side as another epic Premier League title battle looms.

The first meeting between the two clubs that have recently dominated the championship race will take place at Anfield on Saturday, October 15th, with the second meeting taking place at the Etihad on April 1st.

Forest defeated Mark Hughes' side 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium in the FA Cup in 2009.

Tottenham and Chelsea are expected to be championship contenders next season, and our first match against either will take place at the Etihad Stadium on September 10th.

Chelsea will put their opponents to the test in 2023, with a visit to Stamford Bridge scheduled for January 2 - quite a way to start the New Year.

With the 2022 World Cup in Qatar sandwiched between this season's fixtures, our home game against Brantford on 12 November will be our final Premier League match until a trip over the Pennies to face Leeds United on Boxing Day, 44 days later.

In October, Liverpool and Arsenal will play each other away over the course of four days. The Carabao Cup final on February 26 and the FA Cup final on June 3 are two other dates worth noting.

Throughout the season, all of our fixtures are subject to time and date adjustments, with broadcast decisions and Champions League advancement all having the potential to affect the domestic schedule.
