Fortnite Rocket Racing: everything you need to know about the new mode and Rocket League crossover

Fortnite is adding three exciting new modes this week, and one of them is Rocket Racing, a car racing mode developed by Psyonix, the studio behind the popular Rocket League game.

This mode is part of Fortnite Chapter 5, which is full of new content and features, such as the Lego Fortnite mode, a sandbox mode inspired by Minecraft, and the Fortnite Festival mode, a music mode created by Harmonix, the makers of Rock Band.

Rocket Racing mode lets you build and customize your own cars using the new Cars category of Locker items, which includes car bodies, decals, and wheels.

You can also use your Rocket League vehicles in Rocket Racing, as long as you link your Rocket League account to your Epic Games account.

You can do this on the account linking page, and you will also get a free Octane car and OEM wheels from Rocket League as a bonus.

Rocket Racing mode will launch on Friday, December 8, and you can play it solo or with your friends.

You can race on different tracks, perform stunts, and compete for the best time. You can also earn rewards by completing quests, such as getting a free Dieselback Pack Backbling or a Scorpion car.

Here is everything you need to know about Rocket Racing mode and how to get the most out of it.

Rocket Racing release date and time:

The Rocket Racing mode available since Friday, December 8, along with the other two new modes. We will update you if Epic Games announces a specific release time for Rocket Racing mode.

Rocket Racing cars and skins

You can use any car you own in Rocket Racing mode, whether it is from Fortnite or Rocket League. You can also customize your car with different car bodies, decals, and wheels, which you can buy from the Item Shop or get from the Battle Pass.

Some of the Rocket League cars are exclusive to Rocket League, so you will need to unlock them in that game first before you can use them in Rocket Racing.

Here are some of the Rocket League cars that you can use in Rocket Racing mode:

Diesel

Scorpion (Battle Pass)

Cyclone (unlocked in Rocket League)

Jager 619 (unlocked in Rocket League)

Octane (unlocked in Rocket League)

Lamborghini Huracan STO (unlocked in Rocket League and Item Shop).

One of the most anticipated cars is the Lamborghini Huracan STO, which will be available in the Item Shop on Saturday, December 23.

If you buy it in Fortnite, you will also unlock it in Rocket League, and vice versa. This is true for most of the Rocket Racing Rocket League skins, but not all of them, according to Twitter leaker @iFireMonkey, who said that not every item will “get Cross-Game treatment with Rocket Racing”.

Rocket Racing quests and rewards

Rocket Racing mode will have three quests that you can complete to earn rewards and show off your skills. The quests are:

Play Rocket Racing once – Octane Vehicle

Play 10 Rocket Racing races – Dieselback Pack Backbling

Reach Gold Rank in Rocket Racing – Scorpion Vehicle

These quests will allow you to try out different cars and tracks and challenge yourself to reach the Gold Rank, the highest rank in Rocket Racing mode.

You can also unlock more rewards by playing the other two new modes, Lego Fortnite and Fortnite Festival, which have their own quests and rewards.

Rocket Racing mode is a fun and fast-paced mode that will appeal to fans of car racing and Rocket League.

It is also a great way to explore the new content and features of Fortnite Chapter 5, which is the biggest update in Fortnite history. So get ready to rev up your engines and race your way to victory in Rocket Racing mode.
